Why do Domestic Beer Companies Advertise so Much?

Have you ever wondered why domestic beer companies advertise so much and so often? Sometimes it’s hard to make it through your day without being told about Coors, Miller or Budweiser. There are ample good reasons for this – that you always remember such beer brands. The most simplified answer is thus: when you get to the bar or the local store later that night and you are trying to decide what beer that you should purchase, you think of their brands first. Of course, cats like me always head for the pricier and tastier beers, which often tend to be imports…but you get the point! Mostly Domestic Beer Companies Advertise on TV Have you ever noticed that you rarely, if ever, see a beer company that is known for hosting gourmet beer (with the exception of Heineken and a few choice other companies) advertising on TV about their beer offerings? There is actually a really good reason for this: it’s called public awareness, spurred by popular demand and, of course, target marketing by demographic. Meaning, that the best beers in the world have a reputation that carries their sales; not counting Guinness and Heineken—which are great beers but advertise fairly often—and these best beers would rather people hear about them via taste and word of mouth. They also happen to have far smaller advertising budgets because they are not nearly the size of the domestic brewing behemoths. The Super Bowl (Bud Bowl) and Beer Ads What would the Super Bowl be like without Budweiser commercials and Coors commercials? Well the ads that run in between the game would be pretty damn boring that is what! Some of the funniest ads that you will ever see, Super Bowl included, are created by domestic brewing companies. Perhaps under the notion that beer makes everything more interested, comical and funnier; it makes life more worth living. Beer ads are Amongst the Funniest of all Ads!
