Gin and Juice isn’t Just a Good Rap Tune

If you have never enjoyed Gin and Juice, and I am not talking about the rap tune by Snoop Dog, then you are missing out big time my friends! Mixing juice and gin together is one of the more timeless highball recipes, enjoyed at bars and nightclubs far and wide. And you wouldn’t expect me to yap all about gin and juice without at least offering you some free highball recipes for the taking now would you? So what follows below are three distinct recipes for mixing the two variants and special video bonus! Three Classic Gin and Juice Recipes Gin Citrus Surprise Things You’ll Need: • 2 oz. Gin • 3 oz. Orange Juice • 2 oz. Grapefruit Juice    How to Make it: Pour all ingredients into shaker. Fill a Highball glass almost full of ice cubes, and dump ice into shaker. Shake well and pour drink into Highball glass. Garnish with a Lime Wedge. The Little Devil Things You’ll Need: • 1 1/2 oz gin • 1 tsp orange juice • 1 tsp sugar • 1/4 tsp lemon juice How to Make it: Pour the gin, orange juice, lemon juice and sugar into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with 4 sprigs of mint, and serve. Serve in a Cocktail Glass. More Sunshine Things You’ll Need: • 2/3 oz creme de cassis • 2/3 oz gin • 5 oz orange juice How to Make it: Stir the gin and creme de cassis together in a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Fill with orange juice, stir again and serve. Serve in a Highball Glass. Snoop Dog’s Original “Gin and Juice” What kind of blogger would I be if I didn’t imbed the original and awesome Snoop Doggy Dog tune that inspired this post? A total jerk methinks. So, while the above aforementioned mix drink, highball combination that realized much greater popularity after this tune was released, is great: it was all based on this song! In reality, gin and juice is a classic highball mixture. However, tantamount to this great Snoop song, I felt it necessary to offer his signature rapping on the topic as well. Notice the choruses: “Rolling down the street smoking’ endo…sipping on gin and juice.”
