In the Dark? ....Maybe

This is definitely an intriguing concept.  Dans le Noir? which means In the Dark? is a restaurant where the diners eat in pitch darkness.  This might not be the place for those of you with fears of the dark.  As if that wasn't strange enough, the waitstaff consists of blind folks. The restaurant originated in Paris, and there is one in London now.  I found a really detailed review that describes the experience of dining in the dak, read more here. According to their website, Dans le Noir? offers a unique and sensory experience.  Without sight the other senses are heightened and thus you are able to experience the true essence of the food. Another experience you might walk away with is one of having to trust a blind person to be your guide.  The role reversal is meant to invoke empathy towards others, as well as raise the question of what role sight plays in the way we relate socially to others. This is a very interesting concept for sure.  It takes a very sophisticated people like the British or the French to successfully execute something like this.
