Don’t You Wish Seasonal Ales were Year Round?

Ah yes, winter time once again rears it’s cool and chilly head in our faces, causing us to open up part of the closet that has been closed for quite some time, and pull out the thicker clothing to combat the elements. And then there are the holidays and all of the hooplas surrounding this decadent time of the year. And of course, the winter and seasonal ales and beers, that only come but one time per year. For all of us beer lovers out there this means that the one-of-a-kind seasonal beers and ales are populating the shelves our nearby stores, and that we must race to enjoy them during the fleeting moments that they are around. Because come springtime, the seasonal ales and the seasonal beers are gone. Void of the store shelves, plaguing us with normal ales and beers – which are great mind you – but no more October Fests, or holiday brews, or seasonal blends that taste amazing. I tend to beg to differ here. I digress: there should be more seasonal ales available throughout all portions of the year; not just during the holidays. Because the seasonal ales and beers are great, I love them – like the Samuel Adam’s Winter Ale, and their exceptional October Fest. Will this trodden wish ever become a reality for me? Not really. So like all other avid beer drinkers around the globe – I must strive diligently to get my fill before they are gone forever, well at least until next winter. And in closing: perhaps it would be nice to enjoy winter ale all year long, and not just during the colder months.
