Leftist voters, who tend to be more concerned about ecological problems than our rightward counterparts, need to know that the upcoming 2013 solar flare events may be powerful enough to tear through sensitive equipment that helps regulate electrical power grids all around the world. This damage could lead to a massive human and ecological toll when the failing grids make it impossible to shut down or operate our nuclear reactors.
