I was wandering around the Internet when I caught wind of this… Schadenfreude.
Schadenfreude: pleasure derived from the suffering of others.
No, not sadism. That's the sexual end and usually it’s the inflictor enjoying themselves too much. In Schadenfreude, the one enjoying themselves don’t have to do a thing but simply watch. Or gawk, or leer. You know, like people who stare at train wrecks or rubber neck at accidents. It’s a rotten yet a rather satisfying emotion because ‘well, it wasn’t me!’ is usually the justification. But in this case it was definitely not me AND it wasn’t somebody who was innocent.
