I keep hearing all of these songs about never changing. Remember how we always wrote that in our high school yearbooks? “Never change!” And what? Be a douche bag forever? Stay a size four? Don’t have kids, don’t get a job and live with your parents?
I know I’m being deliberately obtuse right now, but I think we do need to stop with the idea that we shouldn’t change, ever. Josh Hutcherson apparently got the job of Peeta in The Hunger Games because he was, like, sooo Peeta. Even Suzanne Collins said so. After watching the movie, I still don’t get it. According to Hutcherson, this was based on the one scene in the movie where Peeta claims that he doesn’t want the Games to change who he is; that he, Hutcherson, is like this, too.
