Fujitsu Life Book
Fujitsu Life Book My employer recently purchased a Fujitsu Life Book laptop for me so I can work from my home. I have to say that after three weeks, I am in love with this machine. Not only have I yet to encounter a single problem, but I now find it hard to believe that at one time (one short month ago!) I was attempting to work with my old...ahem....I'll leave names out. Sleek, lightweight, portable, and fast = a very good buy. And although I did not purchase this machine myself, I have it on good authority that this is incredibly affordable. Best of all, we purchased this machine online through costco, and it was here in all it's glory in 2 days! Great service!

Shopping experience review: sofa from CB2
After much procrastination, I recently took the plunge and began my search for a sofa that would somehow fit my apartment's rather unique dimensions while still managing to seat 3, look great, and feel comfortable. After being less than impressed with what I was finding in local stores, I decided to expand my search online. I have to confess that although I love shopping online, I had some doubts about buying furniture without physically seeing the piece. Nonetheless, I quickly found the perfect couch at CB2.com. Again, I was a little worried about making such a big purchase without seeing exactly what I was getting, but I took a chance, and I am very pleased with the results.
First, I have to compliment CB2 on having a website that provides very accurate information. Pictures and descriptions were accurate, informative, and generous. I throw generous into the description simply because I came across many many websites that offer paltry details, even to the level of excluding measurements or care instructions. Given that furniture can be a major purchase, it was truly wonderful to have all the information you need readily available. I also purchased a few other items, and again I found that what you see and read on their site is exactly what you get. Once my decision was made, I was sent a fabric swath that arrived the very next day and I called the friendly costumer service center to give my final O.K. and schedule a delivery. Delivery came about a week later and was wonderful. The delivery folks cleverly and expertly pulled this couch around a corner I had some lingering doubts about and were friendly and careful as well. Two days after delivery I received a courtesy call from the customer service center to check in which I really appreciated. As for the sofa itself, I love it! Soft, velvety, and luxuriously deep - all I want to do is lounge. Overall, this was an A+ experience and I would not hesitate to make future furniture purchases with CB2.com. Next step, a couch-warming party!

Hop to Pop: Cool and Classy Corkscrews
I love to enjoy a glass of wine after work or with dinner. What I don't love are difficult corkscrews. I hate those annoying little serrated blades and uncomfortable grips. And even if I stick to $10 bottles, I still would rather not have any cork bits floating around in the wine. All these annoyances poured away when I went home one Christmas and saw a great new gadget my parents received as a gift, the Metrokane Rabbit Corkscrew.
It looks just like a bunny! My dad opened up a bottle with ease and knew I had to have one. First, there's a cutter for the foil with just two small blades safely inside a small disc-shaped tool. You just spin the blades around the bottle top and the foil pops off. Then, you take the Rabbit, clamp it around the bottle top, and get ready for magic. With one motion, you push down the top lever to push the screw into the cork. Then, you smoothly pull the lever back up to remove the cork. Release the clamp and reverse the lever motion to drop the cork into your hand. Voila! Open wine bottle! At my next birthday, I was so excited to receive from my parents the Connoisseur's Compact Wine Opener from Brookstone. This opener functions just like the Metrokane Rabbit but offers a smooth, elegant design. My opener is a beautiful, distinctive brass. The best part about this opener is that my friends and guests are always impressed and intrigued when I open a bottle. It adds a bit of class and fun to the experience. And we always have to open a second bottle so they can try it out! So, if you love drinking wine like I do, go get a cool new corkscrew. And always remember to check Froogle for the best prices!
Fun with USB
Little toys and gadgets are the perfect way to get through the work day. USB desk gadgets are perfect because they don't take up too much space and they plug right into the computer. Check out the Brando USB Blender Alarm Clock. Set the alarm for 4:30 Friday afternoon and you'll know just when to start blending margaritas. You can read reviews on Engadget and Gizmodo as well. If you want something even flashier, try the USB Mini Lava Lamp. I think it provides the right relaxed ambience for getting work done. Just don't get too mesmerized by the pretty swirls. ThinkGeek is the perfect store to shop for cool USB gadgets, like this Ion USB Turntable. Also, check out Everything USB for lots more cool products and information. Enjoy, and remember to have fun!
