Hi all. I know this will not make much sense, but can anyone explain why Erxonline refuses to delete my refills upon request.This was my idea, since I would like to quit taking the meds, due to fear I am on the verge of addiction, I wanted to eliminate availability to prevent myself from that temptation. When you are registered with refills, it's easy just to log in and hit "refill". And Er just sent an announcement about how they just made it easier. Is refusal to remove refills available to me some general pharmacy policy? The person on the other end of the phone just laughed at me and said, "Well, just don't order refills." It makes me suspicious. What if they want to get some kind of quota.Their thinking; "3 orders is a charm, then she'll order again and get more refills etc and then with enough evidence-- that sting perhaps. And I know how this gets people hot and bothered, but why else would they need to keep refill availability. I can understand keeping records on "patients" for a certtain period of time. And my husband made me think on this also, reminding me that government law supercedes state laws, so regardless of Florida laws, the government rules ultimately. I hope this is not the case, but if any of you understand addiction, I've been told that availability is one thing to eliminate. I just got really pissed off that I'm just stuck in their system. What would I do say if I wanted another consultation to determine a better medication or is actual discussion even going on between "doctors" to "patient". I never spoke to the man who approved my Rx. That's troubling, given the seriousness of the medication. It isn't advil (!) This online system seemed like a good idea at the time, but unlike the rest of you I am fearing the fact that I face possible addiction and feel it's better to quit taking this if I can. Again, why would they not just let me go? I can't find a "doctor" to actually speak with through the site and address this. A normal doctor probably would request eliminating refills given the circumstances. They would honor the oath they take not to harm their patients..As you know, refills are good for a year. So here I am, stuck in their computer system for this duration. It allows me time to rationalize and tell myself, "oh it's just managing my headaches or back pain". But there are times for me it just feels good to take the script regardless of need (the day was stressful, etc and these are sedating and seem to wipe out the anxiety/worry-- I know this cannot be good and I am ashamed to admit this) Again, I get laughed at because I'm afraid I have the potential to be an addict and want to prevent it. Laughed at for what can kill people if they don't get help(!) I was not then referred to my prescribing "doctor" on the bottle.The individual said what she did and "click". I'm cut off, no referral, nothing. Even at a large corporate pharmacy or clinic, Doctors or pharmacists I know would get concerned if I told them what's up with me.A dealer, on the other hand like this place did basically would say "Well hey, just don't ask me". But if I returned and requested more they are more than happy to take my money and supply me with more pills. I don't think legitimate professionals would leave something potentially harmful to me available. It really makes me wonder if there is an agenda. I am troubled by this and plan to ask a professional if this is policy or pill pushing (no offense to anyone who is doing what they need to). A professional I know would also be able to advise me on what is best. They would care about my well-being. I just figured I would run what happened to me by you guys.
