The author of the Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith, called it "the most correct of any book on earth." This "most correct book" has in it's short history of under 200 years had literally thousands of changes made to it. Of course you'll claim that MOST of those changes were about punctuation. Let's talk about the ones that weren't. I just find it interesting that you can have faith in a book that is entirely up for changes. And then there's the whole issue of the fact that Joseph Smith claims this is book is the "keystone" to your religion yet some MAJOR doctrine is missing from this "most correct" book. For example, where do you find the following mentioned in the BOM? God has a body of flesh and bones God is an exalted man God is a product of eternal progression The plurality of Gods There is no eternal hell and punishment Men can become gods Pre-existing spirits of men Marriage for eternity Polygamy is not an abomination in the sight of God Three degrees of glory A mother in heaven A Melchizedek priesthood An Aaronic priesthood The functions and offices of First Presidency and a President of the Church. One would think that these essentials would be found in the "most correct.....keystone" to the Mormon church. We can also talk about what is in the BoM. In light of the Christmas season how about the fact that the BoM was able to give a prophecy that the name of the mother of Jesus would be Mary but couldn't get the place of birth correct. Jesus was born in Bethlehem as prophesied inthe Old Testament book of Micah NOT in Jerusalem. Ether 15 teaches that a person whose head has been cut off can raise up on his hands and can struggle for breath. I have to cut off here for now. But will be back early in the week.

I have heard it said by some observers of Tantra in the West that we view and practice Tantra as the ritualization of sexual activity where as in the East, Tantra is the sexualization of ritual. Are we using Tantra as a way to assuaging our Christian guilt regarding our libido? Isn’t it ironic that we need to use religion to justify our need for sexuality and connect with ourselves and others in that manner, when in fact it is religion that is keeping us from doing so? Has this been your thinking as well? What is your understanding of Tantra, especially in your personal experience?
