Our family dentist has informed me that my 17yr. old daughter has a serious deficiency in her teeth that was probably caused from the lack of fluoride in her water as a baby. Because of our sulfur well water, we have always purchased bottled water for drinking.... I have been informed that her x-rays look like that of someone from 50 years in the past. Although we have, (without insurance) spent much money on fillings and caps, they fall out and have to be redone. The condition was described to us (about six months ago) by our dentist as being similar to trying to build a concrete building on a gravel foundation. I have taken my daughter to this dentist since she was 12. How is it possible that something this serious was overlooked for so long while she had annual cleanings and was treated for cavities and more? She is a beautiful young lady in her last year of high school and very conscience of her appearance as well as her health. Naturally we are terrified of what to expect next. She had a back molar pulled and has recently told me that a tooth on the other side is feeling loose! I do not know where to go from here. I am clueless as to what kind of specialist to take her to. Our dentist was very vague with advice but made it clear that she could not help us with this problem. I'll be waiting for advice. Thank You! The worried Mom

Balance!  That's the key word for you Libra.  The next couple of months are going to be a bit chaotic as pressure mounts for you to complete those projects you started earlier this summer.  It's time to put the finishing touches on that renovation or home-based business and prepare to release your baby into the universe.  With Mercury in retrograde starting the 15th of September all the way throught the 24th of October, you are going to have to make some tough choices about which direction you want those projects to go.  We know how much you hate pressure and you want things to be just perfect, but now is not the time to freak out about it.  If you have to make your people work harder, use those diplomatic skills of yours because tensions are running deep this time of the year.  You don't want to push your allies away.  Make sure you take some time for deep breathing exercises or meditation because you'll be needing it.

One of the costliest and most complex scientific experiments ever attempted by humans has failed, sort of. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) ran into some problems this week when one of the transformers, which is necessary for keeping the machine at a very cold temperature, broke down.  The collider ring has to be cooled to a temperature of minus 271.3 Celsius so the protons can travel round the accelerator at more than 99.99 per cent of the speed of light.  Problems with the massive magnets in the collider caused temperatures to rise, delaying the first trial collisions next week.  This little hiccup has halted the experiment for now.  Read more here. A full assesmnent of the damage must be done before the experiment can go on.  The scientists at CERN are hoping to have the machine up and running by the middle of October.  Until then, Doomsday has been postponed.
