I am in my forties. Type II diabetic. Have the disease for 10 years now. I try to keep --not always successfully -- my blood sugar levels under control through balanced diet and exercise. I monitor my blood sugar levels using a LifeScan One Touch II glucometer -- manufacturer Johnson & Johnson. In India where I live, the test strips dont come cheap. In fact they are so heavy on my purse that I am forced to limit my use of the glucometer. Would any one reading this make a gesture of sending me some quantities of test strips (LifeScan). I know for a fact that in the US and elsewhere the strips are quite cheap, only I do not know anyone close enough who would be willing to send them. Thanks for your help. Reggie Raghavan

I have a 13 year old daughter who managed to get herself into major trouble yesterday. When she was 12 and younger I would have given her a sound spanking acreoss her fully clotherd bottom. But since she turned 13 we have been grounding her as punishment instead. So in this case I grounded her from TX and other activities for the rest of this week. The hard part of this is that she is a big fan of the Az. Diamondbacks and this meant that she would miss the remainder of the World Series. Instead I told her to go to her room, remove all her clothes including underwear and put on a shear knee length sild night-0gown that she has. You can't see through the nightgown, but becasue the way it hangs on her breasts and bottom, it leaves little to the imagination. She obeyed, and a few minutes latter I went inot her room, lectured her, took her across my knee, and gave her a hard hand spanking. After the spanking I kept her across my knee for a minute and then told her she was going to receive 13 swats with my folded belt, because she was a 13 year old getting spanked. I then gave her the 13 promised swats. Of course she cried and sobbed during this, but she managed to recover in plenty of time to watch the game. Privately my wife thing=ks athe (1) I shouldn't have changed the punishment from grounding and (2) if I was going to spank her, I should not have embarrassed her by making her were only the nightgown. We agreed to put htis our for comment. What do you think?
