Rick Santorum: "Weird, Morbid, Creepy"

...he does not belong in the White House

At its best, elected officials would share the viewpoints, beliefs, and practices of the voters.  As this does not happen nearly as often as most voters would like, the second-best scenario would be for elected officials to keep their own personal viewpoints, beliefs, and practices separate from what they do in office.  Unfortunately, this sometimes does not happen, either.  This is why it can be important to know exactly what a candidate does believe and practice.

The description of Rick Santorum as 'weird, morbid, and creepy,' is, in my opinion, accurate.  Rick Santorum and his wife taking their deceased newborn home to 'meet' their children was not presented as something irrational parents might do when overwhelmed by such a loss-  it was presented as 'healthy.'  Not only does presenting such an act as a 'normal ritual' dismiss how it may ultimately affect their young children, it shows that an individual whom many Americans are considering voting for is totally clueless about what is 'normal' and 'healthy.'

Again, at its best, politicians running for office would keep their personal lives and their public lives separate.  With a recent incident like this, however, it is not a wise idea to chance it.  While I, and probably many other American voters, feel bad about the Santorum family's loss, it is not a good idea to put someone in the White House who cannot differentiate between an irrational act and something that is in the best interest of everyone concerned.  What if someone like this is in charge of the entire United States of America, or the United States military?  Anyone who is considering giving Rick Santorum their vote should think hard and long about the potential consequences.
