Even artists way back in the Renaissance period can fail. The art period was known for its lush paintings of religious iconography and symbolism. It also was known for:
- Scary devil children that will eat your soul
- Scary body positions
- Broken limbs as the hands, necks, and other limbs were painted ‘oddly’
- Size and proportion? F*ck that. We are doin’ tha Renaissance up in hurr.
- Even more creepy looking kids that made you wonder if painters during this time had actually seen one prior to painting
- Boobs that were never painted in realistic positions or on men. Yes, men.
- Sprinkler titties.
This tumblr site just reminded me of all the things I missed when I slept through Art History in college. Live, horribly drawn children. Looking at the art pieces this tumblr shamelessly mocks you. Note the period’s preoccupation with creepy children giving others the evil eye, and looking up under ladies’ skirts.
