The age old tale of religious intolerance has yet another chapter to tell. I’ve been writing quite a bit lately about the recent Islamic failings to be accepting of other religions and opinions, but this time the problems come from the Christian community and groups of highly ignorant people. Muslim groups are trying to build their own mosques many places here in the U.S., but frequently encounter resistance and violence among the local populations.
Murfreesboro, Tennessee is one such incident that has gathered attention lately. A mosque under construction there right now has been faced with a number of problems, including a man threatening to bomb it, vandalization, construction equipment being set on fire and legal actions being taken by the city’s residents in an attempt to block it from being built at all.
