The 116th running of the Boston Marathon on April 16th will feature a slimmed down field of American elite runners due to upcoming Summer Olympics. Many top American runners are training to put forth their best effort in either the marathon or other track events at this year’s Olympics.
The only American elites to compete in Boston this year are Nick Arciniaga who came in eighth place at the American Olympic Trials with a time of 2:11:56, and Jason Hartman, who ran 32nd at the Trials with a time of 2:16:44.
