The locus of Scandanavian artistic talent of all types
Norway’s tradition of promoting arts within the city and across Scandinavia in general began in 1953 with the organization of the Bergen International Festival. One of the country’s coldest festivals, it has now been going on for 60 years, bringing artists together from all corners of the region to show off their creations and get their names and their works out to the world. Every year, in late May and early June, people come from around the world to witness the best in Nordic art and artists.
