India LGBT community fights the most important fight

India is a country where the LGBT community doesn’t enjoy many of the freedoms that it has here in the United States or many other parts of the world.  There are still laws in place that make it illegal to be homosexual, not to mention popular opinion that being gay is a moral outrage of some sort.  In 2009, after a long fought battle, the law was finally overturned, but this victory may be short-lived.  Anti-gay factions have banded together and are appealing the decision.  The fate of the LGBT community in India now rests in the hands of their Supreme Court.
