The largest culture and music festival in all of Northern Europe
Denmark is host each year to what is the largest culture and music festival in Northern Europe. It’s called the Roskilde Festival and it’s been a tradition of the country since 1971. If you can believe it, the whole deal was started by a couple of high school students who wanted to hear some rock music. Since then is has been taken up by the Roskilde Foundation and has grown to be enormous, changing shape over the years to include more than just rock. Nowadays, the festival requires more than 30,000 people to run and attracts around 100,000 visitors every year.
