Your towel doesn’t need a place to prop itself while watching children swim.
I love that my daughter loves to swim, and I don’t mind taking her to the rec center so she can play with other kids, splash around and swim to her heart’s content. What I do mind is that every other chair—and I am not exaggerating here—is taken by towels and purses as moms sit down and read their Kindles or text on their phones while their kids play.
