Yet another in a long line of pointless U.S. vs. China disputes
Apparently, there’s a mural in Corvallis, Oregon that’s causing sparks to fly between Chinese diplomats and Oregonian politicians. It depicts a scene of Chinese police beating demonstrators as well as some Tibetan monks setting themselves on fire. First reactions to this were that it is a political statement about some of the tragedies that are continuing to go on in China. The truth of the matter is a little different, however. Either way, the mural has caused some angry words to be exchanged.
