Bad Movies Get Better Make-overs from the YouTube Community
Pop culture is just something that you can’t get away from. The lowest common denominator determines a great deal of what becomes popular in film, television and music and leads to a proliferation of more of the same old crap based on accepted formulas. Some people see this evil phenomenon happening and choose to express their dissatisfaction by parodying it. And where else is better to release these parodies than on YouTube, where the world can seek out and find your creation and join you in solidarity?
Some mock-ups are the products of one clever individual who happens to see things in a certain light and commits themselves to exposing the stupidity. Others involve whole teams of people who are dedicated to bringing the pop culture rubbish to its knees. Either way, it’s a lot of hit-and-miss when it comes to finding the videos that manage to make a statement and be entertaining at the same time.
The following videos represent but a very small sample of what’s available. These I found particularly entertaining and/or intelligently put together.
