When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a paleontologist. Doesn’t everyone? It’s that magical lure of dinosaurs and other giant animals that no longer exist—the kinds of creatures that would be labeled as cryptids by today’s scientists if no evidence supported their existence—that makes the kid in all of us perk up and listen.
