There is a class of people in this world that you may know about. In fact, I would guess that most of us known several of these creatures. Some of us may even have them as close friends or, Gods forbid, have married one of their kind. I speak of what I refer to as the ‘persistent demoralizer.’
Many people like to debate or discuss things with friends or even strangers. But the PD type is one that not only needs to argue about a subject, but makes it their goal to inform you of exactly how wrong your own beliefs are. They often go to great lengths to insult whatever stance you happen to be defending. Some do this to prove their point, while others may use the tactic to assault your opinion when they have no valid arguments of their own.
