Much as the picture quality on them can make movies seem as vivid as a Camcorder video, I am no big fan of flat-screen TV’s. I think they’re useful, but ugly, and a fount of noise pollution. An opinion reinforced during a recent visit to the lounge area at my local car dealer as the oil got changed in my Chevy Cruze; the lounge is equipped with tables, chairs, coffee machine and urns, pop and snack machines, magazines, newspapers … and a loud flat screen Toshiba.
