I had a conversation with my brother in Dallas yesterday evening regarding the coming 2012 election. I live in the Pacific Northwest and was curious to see which political direction my old hometown was leaning. My brother was quick to remind me that Dallas County—due to its population make-up—tended to be Democratic and has been for years. Tarrant County is the gateway to West Texas and once again due to the population make-up is Republican, as is West Texas all the way to the New Mexico border.
My brother is retired and is an ardent Republican, as am I. We are both concerned about the Health Care Bill and its repercussions. Obviously, in 2014 we will begin to see tax increases to fund it. However, we are seeing the results now in that the medical community is hunkering down to revaluate its strategy.
