Last week an explosive revelation came to light from the Chicago-based conservative thinktank, The Heartland Institute; a series of leaked documents uncovering a sustained campaign by the organization to discredit man-made climate change science and the people (mostly scientists) that were its advocates. The eight documents, all posted on climate-change watchdog DeSmogBlog, shows a concerted effort by the Heartland Institute to discredit climate-change, specifically in support of a free-market agenda whose cornerstone included oil and gas companies.
