Out of the blue, our grandson developed an interest in astronomy. He’s seven years old and something ignited his interest in the heavens. As he has continued with his study of the skie, he developed a parallel interest in space travel. I’m talking about real space travel, not science fiction videos. He can name every mission that has ever rocketed into the skies. He knows the status of satellites and the International Space Station at any given time, and is very knowledgeable about new NASA programs such as the Mars Curiosity program.
