Unseasonably Mild Winter both a Blessing and a Curse

The nation is experiencing an unusually mild winter in many areas. This fact is attributed to an increase in tourism in the state of Illinois. During the period from November through March, most of Illinois can be extremely cold. This is especially true near Lake Michigan where lots of snow usually falls during this time. However, this year the unusually mild temperatures and moderate amount of snowfall have tourists from neighboring states flocking to Illinois. They’re visiting historical sites, wineries, and other outdoor attractions that normally see few guests due to the cold weather.
