March In Phoenix | 6 Ways to Get Outside Now

The weather is almost perfect in March. It gets into the eighties during the day. The sun is shining, but it’s not too hot. Whether you live here or are just visiting, you need to get out and enjoy the sheer perfection of it. Here are a few suggestions:

1.    Hike South Mountain – hiking is always fun in the Valley, but South Mountain is especially cool. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Picacho Peak, which is almost to Tucson.

2.    Bike along the canals – Buy or rent one of those old school bikes with the big baskets. Pack a lunch and see where a leisurely ride will take you. The weather is warm, but not unbearable. In a few months, this will not be nearly as much fun.

3.    Go horseback riding – Again, in a few months it will simply be too hot for the horses to do much of anything. Head out onto the trails with a guide now and see Phoenix in a whole new light.
