Akin is all-in ... Indiana & Pennsylvania more competitive than expected
In Missouri, Rep. Todd Akin (R) had until Sept. 25 to petition to remove himself from the ballot if he were to do so. After his controversial comments about the potential for conception from sexual assault, many had pressured Akin to withdraw from the race. Akin instead doubled-down with a "going rogue" approach and, now that the deadline has passed, will remain on the ballot.
