My husband, myself and our two children adopted Lucky from our local shelter. He is a three year old dauchie mix. He belonged to a elderly man with a few other female dogs. We have had him for about a year. Lucky is a wonderful dog, he stays by our side, never needing a leash, and is very good with the kids (age 5 and 7). He hates being left alone and will cry and tremble after about 5 minutes. The first few months Lucky was home he asked to go out, came in and never had accidents in the house. Then we started noticing he was doing all of his buisness all over the house, usually during the night. We began using a crate at night. If he has to go he whines and I take him out. Then despite that he is home with my husband all day and is taken everywhere my husband goes, he started urinating on my pillow or right below on my bed if I have been gone or busy. He started lifting his leg and urinating on the walls, chair legs and speakers in our home. When put out to go to the bathroom he immediatly smells for poop and rolls in it -EVERYTIME. If he can't find it he rolls where he smells it. Now we have to leave him out when he gets it all over his fur until we have time to bathe him. Yesterday he jumped on my bed and urinated on top of me. My husband is sick and tired of bathing the dog and scrubbing the rugs, walls, and bedding. He wants to give lucky away. My son loves this dog so much. He cries and is so upset. I love the dog but I don't know what to do. So far we have solved the night time problems by using the crate, during the day we do not let him go from room to room in our house. But we do not know how to stop him from rolling in poop, and peeing on our bed. I would apperciate any suggestions or thoughts on why he might be doing these things.

Hey! Who let these people into my apartment?  It's really not as bad as it looks in the pictures, seriously, don't you know camera adds ten pounds of filth... I tried to pick up after myself honestly, but I got places to be, and who's got time to clean?  And besides, what can I say, this is what happens when the maid goes on vacation for a week... Oh wait, that's not MY apartment...Oops, my bad.
