I'm trying to find out who did a song called "Jangle Bells" on a Country type Christmas album back in the late '60s or early '70s. Sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells", the 1st verse goes, "I've got an old tom cat, and Santa is his name. I keep him nice & fat, but he hates me just the same. He got at me today with those needles in his paws, And now I'm a'wearin' bandages On account of Santa's claws!"

Dear Diary,

Am apparently going rogue! Didn’t think simple actions like ignoring bad advice given by former Bush aides—and, honestly, former Bush aides? Entire country knows Bush was terrible choice. Am simply doing what I can to not be associated with current president.—would be such a big deal, but have been informed by liberal media elites that there is dangerous split between John and me.

Also informed by John that there is dangerous split between John and me. Defended self by citing current poll numbers and constant attack from media as need for change. Am completely justified in changing tactics.

Do they want maverick or not? Am confused.

P.S. Decided not to mention plans for attempts to salvage reputation at John’s expense in order to return triumphantly in 2012. Can’t be too careful about John’s heart, ya know. Wouldn’t want to get him upset.

I believe I must be at the brink of my emotions. I cry at all the hurtful things I see or read. It's like I take every thing too seriously. I am formally seperated from my husband and have 3 children, 18, 14, 12. Well now I have one adult and two children. I don't know how to be their mother anymore it seems. They don't need me like they use to, and they even get offended when I try. Can someone help me, should I just forget I was ever a mother. Should I just give my children the basics and not try to be their friends. Would that make for a better relationship and maybe one that is not so emotionally hurtful for me.
