'Twas the Night Before Victory

Monday, November 3 9:15pm Dear Diary, Canâ??t believed the protesters at my rally at Florida State University. Felt I dealt with them effectively though, and I always love it when Republicans are forced to hear my message. Especially when Iâ??m sure theyâ??d rather not. David upset that I referred to them as whiners, but I think it was appropriate. Plus, humor is always a good thing. McCain has been praised for his sense of humor, and this was a great chance to for me to show that I can crack jokes too! Anybody who thinks otherwise clearly doesnâ??t have a sense of humor. Barack and McCain each had interviews at the football game. Heard it went well for both, with McCain showing his usual sense of humorâ?¦ I gotta work on being seen with a sense of humor. Perhaps this will be a way to win people over, which Iâ??ll need if I ever want to run for president in 2012 or (more likely) 2016. I’m hoping that Sarah Palin runs in 2012. Her fans certainly want her too, and I think it’s safe to say that her those opposed do as well. I want her to run. She’d be so easy to beat! Even the polls show that voters would rather have me as president. I can't believe that more than 50% would ever want her in the White House, but at least they've finally seen the light. Of course, I’m sure that the smarter conservatives would not be thrilled with this, since she has an would only mobilize the base. One has to wonder what’s going to happen with her credibility. She’s been exonerated from those accusations of unethical conduct, but I have to wonder if that’s going to convince people that she’s truly been cleared. I guess the election will show that. It’ll be great to look back on this when I’m in the White House. And on that note, I can’t BELIEVE tomorrow is Election Day. Finally! Until next time, Joe

The Final Home-stretch

Monday, November 3 9:30pm Dear Diary, Such sad news today. Madelyn died early this morning. I can’t believe Barack’s grandmother is gone. She really was a wonderful woman. And it would have meant the world to her to see her grandson elected president of the United States. And more than that, the first black president of the United States! Sasha and Malia are so upset and have cried about it a lot. I know this sounds insensitive, but I feel that Barack and I really haven’t had time to grieve while on the campaign trail. I expected we will finally be able to process and deal with this after Barack has won and when he can truly relax. To anyone who thinks that Sarah Palin was a good pick for Vice President – ha! Stick with that belief. I hope they go so far as to nominate her as the Republican candidate in 2012. I would love to run against her. And I know Barack would love to run against her if he decides to serve another term in 2012. I’m ok with him serving another term, as long as I am the Democratic nominee in 2016. As long as Biden doesn’t run… We all saw what happened in 2000 with Gore running after 8 years of Clinton. Of course, Gore won, but still. It will be my turn. And after 8 years of serving as a supportive wife-figure, I know I’ll be itching for some real power. Unbelievable that tomorrow’s the big day. I doubt Barack and I will really sleep tonight. After this election, I know we’re both going to need a vacation. These past few months have been rough with all the traveling. I will look forward to finally being able to sleep in my own bed. Although I wonder if I’ll really be able to sleep, knowing that my husband is President of the United States. Can’t wait! Yours always, Michelle

Must remember that we are mavericks and therefore unpredictable.

Monday, November 3rd

Dear Diary,

Don’t know why media keeps covering speeches where I say that we are going to win as if it is some breaking news report. Understand that polls not looking great, but must remember that we are mavericks and therefore unpredictable. Also, all polls conducted by biased liberal media elites and cannot be trusted.

Besides, had good news today. Have been cleared of wrong doing in Troopergate! Not that am surprised, of course, as would never do something unethical. Protecting family never wrong. Also have been found to be healthy, which will be reassuring to voters worried about health of candidates.

(Unfortunately, John’s health records not looking so good. Over 1,200 pages of medical records? However, overcoming of physical weakness is sign that God is with us. Divine right!

Love yah!

Sarah

PS. Do undecideds believe in divine right to rule?  Must ask Rick.

In Iowa, Ballot Challenges Could Shift Election

http://iowaindependent.com/ "Iowa has seen unprecedented levels of early voting since ballots became available Sept. 25. Through Saturday, 553,669 voters had voted early or requested ballots by mail, and 481,179 ballots had been returned. Democrats held a roughly 100,000-voter edge in total ballot requests." "Early voting continues through Monday, the day absentee ballot boards start the work of processing ballots, opening envelopes, and dealing with challenges."

Thirteen more minutes until November 4th! And am still ahead in polls!

Monday, November 3rd

11:47PM

Dear Diary,

Last day of stumping. Cannot believe election actually tomorrow.  Will win.  Told Grandma I would and I will.  Will win it for her.

Tomorrow.

Whoa.

[Was so excited by upcoming election that I started singing lyrics from “Tomorrow” song from Annie after writing word ‘tomorrow’. Got as far as “Just thinking about tomorrow/clears the cobwebs and the sorrows” before was told to shut up by Michelle. Says I have terrible singing voice and threatened to vote for McCain if I “kept up that racket and woke up the girls.” This is completely unfair as life story is featured in new musical, “Obama the Musical”, and therefore must have talent.]

Oh, have just heard John said that “The pundits have written me off just like they've done four or five times in the past. ... They may not know it, but the Mac is back. Ha. Little does he know obesity epidemic affects only Big Macs. (And also that subliminal message put into infomercial creates negative association for word ‘Mac’.)

Thirteen more minutes until November 4th! And am still ahead in polls!

Hopefully yours,

Barack

PS. Just checked CNN to see polls one more time. Apparently five percent of voters still undecided? Who are these undecideds? Race has lasted forever! Make up your minds!

PPS. And pick me, please.

Wisdom Teeth Sockets

I had my wisdom teeth removed on Oct 24th. About a week later I was treated for DRY SOCKET in all 4 sites where the teeth were removed. I was treated with clove oil packing every 2 days for 1/2 a week. My concern is that the holes in the bottom jaw are not healing. ( don't appear to be ). I am wondering if the process is a long one. They were never stiched up, but rather left open to heal. I no longer have pain, but i'm worried that i'll be stuck with these holes forever. Any input would be greatly appreaciated. Thank you

In Iowa Demonstrations On How To Use Voting Machines Could Lead To Prevention Of Voter Fraud

In Siux City, Iowa measures are being taken to calm people's anxieties about voter machines. "We're just here to try to make sure that we get as much understanding of the process so that people are more likely to vote on Election Day," says Three Rivers Executive Director Doug Moravek. Indiana Clerk Cuts Off Voting With Hundreds Still In Line

Get the full story at: http://www.wibc.com In Vanderburgh County, Susan Kirk the county clerk, turned away hundreds of voters who had stood in line for hours to cast absentee ballots in person when Monday's noon deadline arrived.  Kirk said state law left her no option but to end voting at noon, no matter if a voter was waiting in line inside the election office or in the hallway outside, however, clerks extended polling hours in Indianapolis and Lafayette so that everyone in line at noon could cast their votes. Voting continued for nearly two additional hours in Lafayette. Some are left wondering if this move was illegal.
