Top Reasons We Lost Election (As Was Obviously Completely and Totally Not My Fault)

Liberal Media You-Tube-Sensation Elite; in particular, I blame Obama girl and the Hey Sarah Palin guys.

Fraudulent claims that “Original Maverick” was actually some guy named Samuel Augustus Maverick. Sam, I’ve got news for you—refusing to brand your cattle does NOT make you a maverick. Taking on own Party establishment and choosing running mate’s name out of a hat, now THAT’S mavericky. There’s only one Original Maverick, and that’s this guy right here.

Oprah.

Due to overwhelming complaints over usage of songs at campaign rallies and lack of openly Republican musicians, forced to select Heidi Montag’s “Higher” as official song. Cindy’s choice of Heidi’s “Overdosin” unanimously vetoed by campaign staff.

Blatant plagiarism of memoir title by opponent. I mean “Dreams from my Father”? Sound suspiciously like…Faith of My Fathers?! (Oh wait—Rick says Mr. Yes-We-Can-Hope-For-Audacious-Dreams published his four years before mine. Told Rick ‘What are you still doing here, please go home to your family” Rick said “I have no one left but you”).

The color red. Am completely baffled as to why GOP would choose international symbol of communism as official Party hue. CNN viewers likely thought “red” states being overrun by China. Also not very helpful when attempting to paint opponent as socialist.

Dreading return to Senate. Hillary Clinton and John Kerry will be even MORE condescending than they always are, if that’s possible.

Does anyone know how tough the job 1N5X1 is? Is it a lot of mental work? Do you ever end up in the field or do you just stare are computer screens?

What a trip this whole election has been! I am glad that it's over and that the new President of the United States is Barack Obama. Of course, I am going to miss ragging on Sarah Palin, but it's all worth it. On Election night I kept my Hunnybunny up so that she could watch President Obama give one of the most inspiring speeches given by anyone in recent history.  Basically, that's what we all witnessed on November 4th, history in the making.  But I wanted her to experience the excitement of politics, the passion that one can feel when your ideals are on the line. Coming from a politically active family in Central America, I understand the importance of having not only an interest, but a passion for what is happening in the world and in our government.  I have seen my family members killed for what they believed in, and I have witnessed first-hand the start of a revolution. In the last eight years our government seemed to encourage an apathy and a cynicism in the people of this country, making it unpatriotic to criticise and question the actions and motives of our leaders, we were encouraged to follow blindly.  As citizens of this country, everyone should feel it is their moral obligation to vote. I am very proud that my Hunnybunny gets to live in this time.  I want her to grow up with a sense of responsibility to her country. Her responsibility is to always be conscious of what is going on in the world and to employ critical thinking when it comes to government, and to participate in the election process, because like this election proved, each vote matters. It's not easy being socially conscious when there are a million things to do, but if we don't encourage our kids to be aware and to participate we will be responsible for raising a generation of sheep- mindless followers.  Don't forget, these kids are the future.  What do we want that future to look like?

Scorpio- You will need to employ some common sense this week, and don't rely too heavily on intuition. Cold, hard facts will get you through a tough situation Scorpio. Make sure all things are in order, especially your transportation.

Aquarius- Don't make any hasty decisions early in the week. Follow your hunches, listen to your dreams, you are in tune with the cosmic forces this week. By the end of the week you'll know what the next step to progress will be.

Pisces- There's a lot of obstacles between you and your fun this week. Don't give into martyrdom or self-pity. Seek out advice from someone who's been there already. Get ready for things to get a little sticky.

Aries- Everyone around you seems to falling to pieces, but don't let that get to you. You have some issues of your own to work through this week, you are in the position to think clearly. And don't meddle or give unsolicited advice.

Taurus- Be careful about who or what you say yes to this week. Give your decision lots of thought, like you know you should. Remember: Not all that glitters is gold.

Gemini- You're at fork in the road. Now is the time to define your boundaries in your personal relationships, it could help strengthen what is already there. Take time for yourself this weekend, meditate about what the next step will be.

Cancer- You need to work hard at the practical matters in your life, but you also need more than anything to carve out some time for creativity and sensuality. Your hard work will soon bear the fruits of success, and then you can relax.

Leo- This is a week of acknowledgment for you. The world sees what you have to offer and they are buying. Trust yourself but let others voice their opinions, you don't have to agree with what they say. Give yourself lots of time to rest this weekend, you earned it.

Virgo- This is a good week to follow your own advice. You always know what other people should be doing or not doing with their lives, guess what? It's your turn to step up and make a few positive changes, the opportunity you've been hoping for is coming your way, be ready.

Libra- Balance! Balance! Balance! You will need to be practical in the coming weeks Libra. Curb your emotionally-charged impulsive spending because the winter is near and you don't want be left in the cold. Pay off whatever bills you have outstanding and consider a budget you can stick to.
