107.7 The End’s Deck the Hall Ball
The 2008 Deck the Hall Ball, put on by 107.7 The End, presents some of the hottest bands in today’s music market. The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, Cold War Kids, Shiny Toy Guns, and Aqueduct will all be on stage, with many new songs and classic hits. The concert will take place on December 9th at the WaMu Theater. Doors open at 4:30pm and the show starts at 6:00pm. All ages are welcome to attend.
The Killers will perform new songs like “Human” and “When You Were Young,” and Death Cab will be sure to play their latest hits, “Cath” and “I Will Possess Your Heart.” Last year’s Deck the Hall Ball was a huge hit with performances by Modest Mouse and Jimmy Eat World, and 2008’s show looks to be even better.
This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but tickets are going quickly, so be sure to get yours as soon as possible before they’re all gone! You can buy them online at Ticketmaster.com.
Don’t miss out on the wildest after party since Halloween! The Deck the Hall Ball After Party will take place at El Corazón, and will feature DJ sets with Jeremy Dawson (of Shiny Toy Guns)! Doors open at 10:30pm, and all ages are welcome to attend, so don’t worry about your underage friends (though there is a bar available for those with ID). Remember to bring your Deck the Hall Ball ticket stub, since you can get half-priced tickets for the After Party, regularly priced at $7.
My "Momification"

Dear Diary,
Those feminists are at it again and they’re driving me crazy! All this bunk about how I’m a disgrace to working moms because I’m choosing to support my husband and my family. All this talk about the “momification of Michelle Obama” is out of control. And I’m not going to leave my children in the dust – I care about them! It’s unbelievable that I’m being criticized for supporting my family. Of course I have to become the First Lady – my husband was elected President of the United States! And why wouldn’t I want to become First Lady? Don’t those feminists realize the platform that’s been handed to me? This is an honor and an opportunity!
Look at Eleanor Roosevelt – she was a huge advocate for civil rights, she co-founded the Freedom House, and was a delegate to the United Nations! That’s huge! If anything, I have more power than ever now that I’m First Lady. I can do so much more because of my position! Not to mention, when Barack’s presidency is over, this will help me to get any job I want and really boost my own career. And while the feminists don’t realize this, being First Lady is one of the best ways I can begin my campaign for my presidency down the road.
Shouldn’t feminists be amenable to women choosing to do what they want with their own lives? Women have been fighting for the right to work for over a century. But a woman’s right to choose her own life path works both ways. Women also deserve the right to be able to choose to stay at home and help raise their children. It’s not that we’re surrendering the rights that we’ve worked so hard for – we’re acting on these rights by electing to do what they want with their lives. And it takes a true feminist to realize this.
Yours always,
Michelle

Whose Authority
Ted Kaufman to Fill My Seat
Tuesday, November 25th
8:30am
Dear Diary,
Governor Minner has appointed Ted Kaufman, one of my aides, to fill my seat in the Senate. And I couldn’t be happier! He was my closest advisor and served the longest time, mostly as Chief of Staff, and I certainly think he’ll do a great job carrying on my legacy. But Ted’s saying that he’s going to step down in 2010. I did mention to him that Beau might choose to run in 2010, so Ted might be doing this to appease me, which is fine. I just keep hoping that Beau will run for this position when he returns from Iraq (God willing), but Beau wants to do things his own way. Still, he’d make a great senator. Beau’s whole thing is that he doesn’t want to just get elected because of me – he wants to run on an even playing field. But if he runs in two years, then it will be on an even playing field. I Need to write myself a note to remind him of this in the next letter I send to him.
I was hoping that this appointment would bring some more publicity in for me, perhaps spark a story about my legacy in the Senate, but of course Barack is stealing all the media with his cabinet appointments. I understand that those cabinet positions are of huge importance, especially those directly affecting the economy. But doesnâ??t my position deserve some national attention?
Until next time,

If Your Birthday Is Today...Nov 25
If your birthday is November 25th, your friends probably consider you funny and kooky, noble and smart. And a bit of a goof. But really, you're a smug know-it-all with the sense of humor of chalk.
You also share a birthday with this guy(left) Ben Stein. The guy that plays the annoying teacher in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, who is famous for his monotone voice and having a game show where you got to win his money, if you could prove to be smarter than him. Ben Stein is also an economist and former speech writer for Richard Nixon. That pretty much sums up the personality type of people born on this day.
Other people you share personality traits with are John Larroquette(sarcastic lawyer Dan Fielding of Night Court), Gloria Steinem(former Playboy bunny/feminista), Carry Nation(hatchet-wielding prohibitionist), Barbara and Jenna Bush(party girls/ spawn of George W).

I agree, Mormon. It's too difficult to follow in here. Your last post for some reason is even cutting off the last few words of each line. Would you mind reposting "Answers Part ll" on VOY? We can continue from there. Thanks
