Role of the VP

Dear Diary,
I’ve just talked to Barack about specifying my role publicly. I mentioned that this is really embarrassing that I’ve been completely ignored since the election, and that all the other presidents have clarified their Vice Presidents’ roles within the first few weeks. Unfortunately, this rant ended with me saying, “I want some real power, man, and I want it NOW! And I want you to make sure the rest of the WORLD knows how much power I have!!” I may have gotten a little overwrought.
But Barack, maintaining his stoic countenance as always, told me that he was actually saving this address for last, as it would be his best one. He further tried to reassure me that he would “do everything in his power” to get this going as soon as possible. Everything in his power? What does that even mean?! Does he basically have absolute power to make whatever announcements he wants? Ugh, if anything, I’m the one who’s lacking in power. And it’s not like I want to go all Dick Cheney on the country or anything.
I am becoming increasingly concerned that I really am going to be lost in the shadows of Barack and Hillary. Everyone knows that she’s really going to take charge with her role in Secretary of State, and I certainly don’t want to become a spare wheel in this administration; which is why Barack needs to get going on clarifying my role. Not only so I can do it, but so that I can defend it!

Dear Diary,
Barrack just told the family at dinner about Joe’s “ridiculous” diatribe about not having enough publicity. I do understand where he’s coming from. I don’t think Barack has specified my role enough, and he certainly could do a better job of refuting all those ridiculous “momification” rumors.
But really, I don’t know what Barack’s waiting for. He really should have publicly discussed what Biden’s role will be in the administration, and given him some real power, instead of forcing him to always take the back seat. And I told Barack so. Barack, of course, got all political on me – saying he understood where I was coming from, and that “he’d do everything in his power” to get going on defining Joe’s duties. I certainly hope so, or I’m probably going to be hearing from Joe about this soon.

Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller on the Red Carpet
Kiera Knightley and Sienna Miller attended the British Independent Film Awards, and reportedly held hands the whole time. Sienna wore a simple little black dress with a satin trim and a little sequined shrug. She paired the two with opaque black tights and classic black heels to give the outfit a sheeek, finished look. In order to emphasize her glamorous drop earring, Sienna swept her hair back into a high bun. Kiera Knightly chose to wear a glamorous twist on a romantic gothic dress. The lace and billowy fabric give the overall dress a light, airy look while maintaining an air of sophistication. However, the dress was too big on Kiera and the bustier ended up falling well below where it should normally be worn. Perhaps a tailor will be a wonderful investment prior to Kiera's next appearance on the red carpet.
The two will co-starring a movie called “Edge of Love,” where they portray women who are both involved with legendary poet Dylan Thomas. The move will be shown in theaters beginning in March 2009.
Wu-Tang Clan, Fatal Lucciauno, Scribe, and Graves Tonight!
Tonight the Wu-Tang Clan, Fatal Lucciauno, Scribe, and Graves will be playing at the Showbox Sodo near Safeco Field at 7pm. All ages are welcome to attend the show, with tickets priced at $35 $40, this will be an amazing hip-hop opportunity.
First becoming popular in 1993, the Wu-Tang Clan is New York City-based multi-platinum hip-hop musical group consisting of nine American rappers. The members of this group have been highly successful, and span many fields of success, from becoming multi-platinum solo artists, multi-platinum record producers to winning Grammys. Some are also TV and film stars, screenwriters, product spokespersons, business owners, and motion picture composers.
Fatal Lucciauno was born in Chicago, but moved to Seattle when he was six. Having spent 11 years homeless with his family, he grew accustomed to a hardened life on the streets and with drugs. He found his musical inspiration from his mother, Northwest Jazz and Gospel singer Josephine Howell. Says DeVon Manier, CEO of Sportn’ Life Records, “This dude is street. He’s raw, real, uncut, he’s gutter. Plus, he’s smart. He could be a teacher or a philosopher. But he’s a rapper…he’s the intelligent hoodlum.” Fatal Lucciauno signed with Sportn’ Life Records, and is viewed as the present-day Tupac.
Scribe is an New Zealand-born rapper who released his first album in 2003. He is widely known in New Zealand with his recent singles, “Baby Girl, Fast Far (Fugee Remix) featuring Wyclef Jean and Lupe Fiasco.
Graves is a Seattle native, whose inspiration comes from “diverese artists, things, accourances, movements, friendships and lately I mold my works from various angles and genres of music,” as he writes on his MySpace page.
Need help on unkown problem w/ 95 Plymouth Neon
My car has been out of comission for about 1 month and all because we don't know what the problem is. I was driving it down the highway at 70 mph and all of a sudden my car starts shaking. I decided since I knew nothing about cars I would just pull over. I turned it off and noticed it was hot, but the temp guage didn't show that it was. We have already replaced the gas tank and the fuel line. And it still won't start. I need help really bad.
