What can you do when a blotch does occur from sensitivity? You can simply hide the blotch with some miner wear talc free powder, until it slowly heals.
If you wish to use a home remedy, one of the most beloved remedies for irritated skin is simple milk. Milk can help cure the irritation and help relieve the itchiness associated with it. It can also help balance the skin’s PH balance. One can simply, soak a cloth in warm milk and apply onto the affected area. This can be done once a week or more often, if the area is badly infected.
Removing the smell of cat urine
The one thing that may keep many people from owning a cat is the fear of having their homes smelling like cat urine. However, there are simple methods that can keep this from occurring. Of course, the most important thing is that kitty must be littered trained and the litter box must be cleaned properly daily.
Some litter boxes may even need to be cleaned more than once a day, especially if there is more than one kitty in the household. What other steps can keep the home clean smelling and what can be done about the urine smell if it does occur?
First, think twice about getting a litter box that has a cover or applying a cover to the litter box. This can cause the smell to become trapped. This will make it more noticeable to you, to guests and to kitty. Once the smell becomes noticeable to kitty, she may decide to go potty somewhere else.
Stop and think about it. Would you want to go potty somewhere that stinks? This is the number one reason that litter trained cats will have so called accidents away from the litter boxes. Another reason may be that the cat doesn’t believe she is getting enough privacy. Yes, cats like to have their privacy during some parts of their lives, too. Plus, kitty may not like sharing the box with other kitties.
When kitty does go outside her box, there are steps you can take to clean up the mess and avoid the urine smell to stay in your home forever. First, soak up as much as the urine as you can with paper towels or a rag. If you have a carpet steamer on hand, especially a hand one, you may wish to use this to soak up the urine.
Next, consider the cleaner you want to use. You can use a commercial product or a homemade one. If you choose the home remedy route, you might want to try a mixture of 1/3 cup vinegar and 2/3 of water and a little bit of baking soda. Apply the mixture to the area. Allow it to set for twenty-four hours and then soak up as much as the mixture as you can. Another home remedy that you may want to try is applying a small amount of peroxide on the area. Allow the peroxide to dry and then blot the area. However, be warned that the peroxide could cause some things to lose their color, including some carpets.

Kenneth Bianchi was one of the two serial killers that would come to be known as the Hillside Stranglers. The other happened to be his cousin, Angelo Buono, Jr., who shared his love of killing women.
As a child, Bianchi displayed many traits that marked him out as being a potential criminal in his later years. Born to a prostitute, he was adopted out, though this did not help his situation. He was known as a compulsive liar with a quick temper. He also developed several physical health conditions. Smarter than most people in his classes, Bianchi was an underachiever who never applied this advantage to his life.
Once out of high school, Bianchi’s troubles began to escalate. He got married, but it only lasted eight months. He drifted from job to job and place to place. Finally settling into a job as a security guard, he would use his trusted position to commit several petty thefts, mostly jewelry and the like that he would give to women.
Finally, Bianchi made his way to Los Angeles, where he would begin his killing spree. There is where he met up with his cousin, the two becoming pimps for a time. Eventually pimping was not enough and so they started killing for fun.
At least 10 women were raped, tortured and murdered, all of them between the ages of 12 and 28, though there was no other particular victim profile. The way they chose to kill them was just as varied, the two experimenting with different methods. Ironically, Bianchi ended up working with the LAPD for a time, helping them search when they were looking for the Hillside Stranglers.
After a falling out with Buono, Bianchi left LA and moved to Bellingham, WA. There, he claimed two more victims, though he was unable to cover his tracks without help from his cousin and ended up being arrested in 1979. Shortly thereafter, he turned in his cousin as well. When his case came to trial, Bianchi attempted to plead insanity by faking Multiple-Personality Disorder, but psychologists eventually called him on it. He is now serving life in prison for his crimes.

Protecting your small flock of hens can be more challenging that you would anticipate. You have predators, disease and even a lack of food if they are free-ranging. This is when you may want to have some advice on qualities to look for in a good rooster to help your hens out in all of these aspects.

Brisbane’s Backbone 2high Festival
Backbone 2high Festival in Brisbane, Australia is not necessarily associated with what you might think it to be based on the name. Instead of being an event with a focus on getting high, it’s actually an artistic extravaganza, bringing together some of the strangest and most interesting performances in the country.
Founded in 1993, the festival takes place at the Brisbane Powerhouse. This gathering is dedicated to the youth of Australia and the innovative display of performance art. Each year, 12 young people, aged between 18 and 26, are brought together to organize the event, under the tutelage of more experienced mentors.
Around 60 different young performers participated in the festival last year. Their acts consisted of music, some of it completely improvisational, performance art, opera, theater, comedy and other visual arts. They also decorated the event with their art installations, some of them being crafted right before the eyes of attendees. No holds are barred at 2high and the artists are free to create pretty much anything that they feel inspired to.
The Backbone 2high Festival is an amazing opportunity for the Australian youth to get some serious, real-world experience in the fields that they choose to study, leading to the potential for some excellent jobs in the artistic industries. Audiences can come and enjoy these new and possibly one day famous artists.

Casting news for ‘The Good Wife’
Season Four is going to be a season filled with popular stars on “The Good Wife.” News has already been broken that many popular stars are going to be showing up on the canvas this year. First, Michael J. Fox is going to be playing his popular character, Louis Canning.
Louis is a rival of the firm, “Lockhart and Gardner.” The last time the viewers saw him, he was making a play for one of the firm’s biggest clients. He won that round. What will happen this time? Will the firm win back the client or will the storyline be a new one? His arrival is slated for January of 2013.
T.R. Knight is going to be a guest star on the show playing a political operative? Will he be working for or against Peter?
Two more stars are also going to be returning to the show. Dallas Roberts will be playing the role of Alicia’s brother, Owen, once more. Currently, Dallas is starring regularly in the show, “The Walking Dead.” However, he will guest star in at least one episode of “The Good Wife,” offering advice to his sister, Alicia, on her love life or lack of one.
Yet, he is only member of her family we will be seeing this year. This is the season we get to meet Owen’s and Alicia’s mother. She is going to be played by actress Stockard Channing and may appear in more than one episode.
Finally, actress Anika Noni Rose is going to be reprising her role of Wendy Scott Carr. Wendy ran against Peter for the Cook County’s State Attorney’s job. She lost. Yet, she still got some of her revenge by helping to get Will suspended. What will she be up to this time? The reports say that she will star in one episode and that that time may be extended, depending on the storyline.
Abu Dhabi Science Festival
If you happen to be vacationing in the United Arab Emirates in mid-October (this year’s already passed) and also happen to be a lover of all things science, the Abu Dhabi Science Festival offers a unique chance for families and individuals alike to fill their heads with knowledge. While many may not see going to a science festival as the best use of their vacation time, this particular event has many things that might appeal to the kids, and the kid in all of us.
Organized by the Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee, the festival is designed to appeal to the youth of the country and foster an interest in the many sciences. Their goal is to increase the knowledge-base of their people and help to build a more technological economy in the future. For this reason, it is well-funded and presents hundreds of science exhibits.
This last year, more than 120,000 people showed up during the festival’s 11-day run. It has grown so much that it has expanded beyond just taking place in Abu Dhabi, with smaller, satellite festivals taking place in the surrounding cities. They’ve also started putting up science demonstrations in malls and other places, to help let people know that the event is being held.
Universities, students, schools and teachers all take part in the festival. They show kids what can be accomplished by using science and there are presentations of virtually everything, including robotics, biology, electronics, physics, green energy, sound and more. But it’s more than just a few people talking about things and showing off, many of the displays are interactive so that kids can participate more readily in their own learning.
Abu Dhabi is already one of the most tourist-friendly cities to visit in the Middle East, and the science festival is just one more thing to enjoy while vacationing there. The event has become rather popular though, so if you have something of interest that you must see, it’s best to reserve a seat early, or you may find yourself standing in line for a while.
The Slosheye Trail Big Pig Jig
Barbequing is one of the great American pastimes that people from all over the world can enjoy. And few people take their BBQ more seriously than those in the southern states. Held each year in Vienna, Georgia, The Slosheye Trail Big Pig Jig is an event that caters to the BBQ fanatic in all of us, offering up some of the best cooked meat that you’ll be able to find anywhere.
The event started up in 1982 and has been going continuously for more than 30 years, each year getting bigger than the last. This contest to see who can make the tastiest meal has since become one of the biggest events in the state of Georgia, bringing in more than 10,000 people to watch and partake of the superior BBQ cooking. Originally, just 20 teams showed up to compete, but now more than 100 teams come each year and offer up hundreds of entries. Everyone is there with the intention of winning the $2500 prize and earning a chance to move on to the Memphis BBQ Network Championship.
The main event of the Big Pig Jig is, of course, the giant BBQ cook-off. There are several categories that people compete in, the main three being the Whole Hog, Shoulder and Rib events. There are also some smaller events that test chefs’ abilities to produce the best sauce, stew and BBQ chicken. Each of the meat-oriented events is judged on criteria including presentation, flavor, tenderness and more.
In addition to the BBQing, there are other things to keep people occupied between meals. There is an academic quiz bowl, a 5K “Hog Jog”, a golf scholarship tournament and a parade. An arts and crafts fair features people selling their wares and there is a rock-climbing wall and bungee jumping for the more adventurous. All this is set in an environment that features DJs, dancing and even a battle of the bands.
If you’re a lover of great BBQ, then this is one event you shouldn’t miss. There are few places in the world where you can try so much good food made by some of the best at what they do. This year, the festival runs from November 1st to the 3rd, so there’s still time to get down to Georgia and stuff your face for three days.
