Boob and Nipple Exposure

An accidental hazard or something that could (and should) be avoided?

The Washington Post ran an interesting article today describing the inability of famous women to stay clothed. Over the past few years, several women of a certain social stature--or lack thereof as in the case of Khloe Kardashian--have either accidentally or accidentally on purpose exposed their nipples or partial or entire breasts during public appearances.

Janet Jackson seems to have infamously started the trend during the 2004 Superbowl, but of late, many have followed her. In addition to Khloe Kardashian who exposed a nipple while chatting on “Fox and Friends”, Nicki Minaj lost half of her halter top on live TV during a performance and exposed an entire boob. Kelly Rowland also “accidentally” exposed herself during a live performance when both of her boobs escaped the top she was wearing.

So, one deep and burning question remains to be answered.  Did the women expose themselves on purpose? Different reporters, bloggers, and ordinary gossips have a wide assortment of opinions on this important issue. (I’m guessing that most of the women definitely exposed themselves intentionally.)

I really liked Washington Post columnist Jen Chaney’s take on the boob exposures. She seems to feel that the women should have vetted their clothing enough in advance for design flaws before their public appearances.

As Jen Chaney describes deliciously:

“But this is why halter tops must be tested before one goes onstage. This is why, generally, one should not wear sheer fabric around one’s bra-less chestal region when appearing on “Fox and Friends.” This is why, hey, I don’t know, maybe it’s a good idea to wear a top with a good old-fashioned crew neck once in a while.”

So, was Khloe Kardashian really embarrassed about the extra exposure during her June appearance on “Fox and Friends?”

Not really. The always-mouthy reality TV star said, “At least it wasn’t my Vajayjay” when asked to respond to viewer complaints from those who obviously can’t stand the sight of any nippage whatsoever.

Of course, the reported boob exposures aren’t always so accidental. AOL is reporting that Sharon Osbourne intentionally flashed her boob to Piers Morgan on a flight. So, how you ask, did Piers Morgan enjoy the (rare?) sight of Sharon Osbourne’s breasts? If his account is to be believed--and I have no reason to believe that it should--Piers Morgan didn’t enjoy the sight of her breasts all that much.

In his own words, from AOL:

"I actually thought I was having some hallucinogenic nightmare and then I sort of blinked and I realised it really was Sharon standing there with her naked breasts in front of my face.”

Maybe we’ll all be treated to the sight of Sharon Osbourne’s breasts in the future; she’s on TV enough and I’m quite positive that she could carefully arrange for an accidental breast exposure at some  point in time.
